For over two years (2008-2010) Jo Ann visited with, photographed and recorded

the stories of 65 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Veterans.

On August 25, 2010, Jo Ann began a twenty-eight day road trip around

the United States, driving 10,167 miles, 31 states from New York to California

and back to photograph and record the stories of

46 of the 65 LGBT Veterans featured in Proud to Serve.

Included in the book are a selection of iPhone images of America

taken during Jo Ann's twenty-eight day road trip.

Proud to Serve has been exhibited in galleries, universities, colleges,

LGBT community centers and on a US Naval base during their first LGBT pride event.

The portraits have been published worldwide and are

in The White House collection of President Barack Obama.
