Believe, is a short documentary on four New England families, whose child is diagnosed with Dup15q syndrome (a clinically identifiable syndrome which results from duplication of chromosome 15q11.2-13.1). The major common underlying issues associated with the syndrome are epileptic seizures, autism spectrum and development issues.

Justin, the youngest of the subjects in the film. His mother Jacqui and I have been best friends for almost thirty years. One day, we were on the phone last year and she said the magic words “I wish people could see what it’s like to have a child with special needs…” That is how it began.
